Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

We've compiled a small list of answers to some common questions about our cannabis extracts:

What is Distillate?

Distillate is a highly refined cannabis extraction that is manufactured using a distillation process.

In order to isolate compounds such as THC into a pure and viscous oil they must first be separated from the cannabis plants' flowers. This process is called extraction and removes the cannabinoid compounds from the plant itself, while other undesirable compounds and plant materials are left behind. Further refinement through a process called winterization is used in order to remove any undesirable compounds.

Isolated cannabinoids must also undergo decarboxylation, by which the compounds are heated enough to activate their medicinal potential. Finally, the material is run through a short path steam distillation or rational distillation chamber in a series of multiple passes to purify the desirable compound (THC) to an isolated state and it is known to produce single compound oils that can reach upwards of 99% purity.
